We have a fabulous Christmas. Lots of time with family which wasn't a bad thing. I of course ate too much but oh well.

I am still working out. I am starting to see some very small changes. I know I am getting healthier and that is what really counts. I read something interesting that say your attitude toward exercise should be to give instead of receive. I exercise to give my body health, not to receive weight loss. I am trying to keep this attitude that way if the weight doesn't come off as fast as impatient me would like, I will keep going. Boy it isn't easy.

The wedding plans are coming along. The next big step is to order my dress. I always dreamed of picking out my dress. I am trying not to let my size take the joy away. I am going to order whatever dress I like regardless of how much skin it shows, etc. I just don't want a grandma wedding gown.

Once again I am embarking on a weight loss journey. It sure isn't easy. After work I am going to check out some aerobics classes that seem like fun. One class utilizes a pole and another is cardio strip. I am not coordinated but I think it will be fun. I am also hoping that it will instill some confidence in myself and acceptance of who I am.

What more can a girl ask for than to be engaged right before Thanksgiving. I am very thankful for the life I have with SirAmor. You can read all the details of the engagement on his LJ. I couldn't ask for a better man with which to share the rest of my life. SirAmor and I both accept and encourage each others kink. I never thought I would find that in a man.

I can't wait to begin planning the wedding. We will be wed during a small ceremony in Georgetown, Grand Cayman. We both love the beach so it is perfect for us. I can't wait to feel the sand between my toes while wearing a wedding gown.

I wish everyone happiness and joy. We all deserve it!

Things have certainly been busy for me. Between school, my dad and buying a new house my mind has been constantly going. School is going okay, no surprises there, just time consuming. My dad is doing well right now. He had major surgery last week and made it through. His life will be very different now but he seems in good spirits. The best news is the house purchase. Financing is secured, the inspections complete, now Sir Amor and I just have to wait for our closing date of October 25th. We are both very excited. Our new home has 4 bedrooms and an inground swimming pool. We can't wait to entertain our friends and have pool parties.

Well school has started. Between working full time and going to school full time I am a very busy girl. Two of my classes require a huge amount of time and energy. Luckily I enjoy both of them so it makes it more bearable. Sir Amor is joining me in studying for one of my online classes. I enjoy being able to bounce things off of him and learning together.

The upside to all this is I really am a schoolgirl now. NICE!! Now if I can just dress the part and be a naughty schoolgirl!

So here I am back from the most wonderful vacation and I have a cold. Nothing like being sick to bring you right down off a good high. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Vacation was simply amazing. We have been home almost a week from visiting Grand Cayman, BWI. I loved snorkeling and swimming with the sting rays. Actually I loved everything, sailing on a pirate ship, the turle farm and all the amazing fish. What I loved the most was sharing this vacation with an amazing partner. He made every minute even more pleasurable.

I can't believe summer is almost over. Its back to school for me on Monday. I am taking 12 hours and working full time. My life is going to be busier than it was before. I really want to finish my bachelors degree and work on the next step in my education.

I just finished an online college course. It was a packed class, 3 credit hours in just 3 weeks. I am so happy that I finished and turned everything in on time, sometimes early. I didn't procrastinate as I usually do. I am slowly but surely working my way towards my life goals. I am starting a little late in life but I figure I am going to get old anyways I might as well be working towards goals at the same time. In the fall I will be working full time and going to school full time. I guess I had better enjoy the summer!!!

Today I am mostly worried about my dad. He has been fighting cancer for some time now. I have mostly been positive about it but for some reason today I am scared. I see him uncomfortable and unable to do the things he wants and it makes me sad. I really can't imagine life without him.

I decided to finally do something about writing here at Live Journal. I signed up quite some time ago but have been very slow in getting started.

I have alot going on in my life right now and I plan to keep track of it all here.

I am on a journey of learning more about the self that is buried deep inside of me. Its a personal journey that I want to write about so that others can read it and maybe someone out there will identify with it. I am usually not one to share much about myself. I think there are very few people in the world that really know me. I tend to be quiet and stick to myself. Hopefully this will be a first step in changing that. We shall see!
